Christmas Movie Part 2

I totally get why Hallmark and Lifetime Christmas movies have such a cult like following. Watching these Christmas movies is the equivalent to going to Disney World as a kid- its pure magic. The little towns are perfect, the leading actors are beautiful and there is ALWAYS a happy ending.

I took it upon myself and did some research. By research, I mean, I have been watching these movies since October and I found out some pretty interesting things. For one, there is ALWAYS hot cocoa somewhere and its usually on a cute date. Hallmark and Lifetime have also perfected the meet cute- the two lead characters ALWAYS have the most memorable and cutest first meeting. There is also always some cute holiday activity- ice skating, snowman building, snowball fights, outdoor Christmas market, decorating the tree (together) and the list goes on. Hallmark and Lifetime have perfected this down to a science- yes the science formula is used over and over and OVER again but hey! Why fix something that isn’t broken?

These movies have definitely been one of the highlights of this season and I am so excited to share with you the movies I’ve watched. Here are my short and sweet notes:

I love seeing fun locations, actors who decided to jump back into acting after a long hiatus (Chad Michael Murray, Lucy from 7th Heaven, Lacey Chabert, Fran Drescher etc), the pure joy of the Christmas spirit. These movies can warm the coldest hearts and make you smile and forget about the craziness that 2020 actually is. I am so glad I let myself get lost in these movies this season.
