::cue Italian music from the viral Instagram story “things that just make sense in (insert thing)”:::
These are the things that I do in the evening, I go to bed that make sense to me:
-Once 8 PM comes around, I play Nerdle, the cousin to Wordle that you guess math problems instead of words. (My 13 year old self would be shocked I love doing this!)
-I have currently a 153 day streak on Duolingo, and lately I have been really looking forward to practicing my Spanish each night. I am far from fluent but its been fun to work on each day.
-Another learning app, Sololearn, has been teaching me how to code each day. This has been something I’ve always wanted to do and there is no time like the present to start.
-I like to get my things together for the next day. (Change my purse, pack my gym bag, gather supplies I might need, etc)
-I don’t always read but its one of my favorite things to do, when I have time, to unwind from the day.
-I use my planner as sort of a daily journal so every day I update it. Its nice to look back and see what happened on a certain day. I have been doing this for years.
Phew, That’s basically my day and night in a nutshell. There are of course the things I do that are not part of the routine like eating, showering, etc. Those are just common sense. I love starting and ending my days with these things. Now will these things change, probably. I will probably get bored with Wordle at some point and stop learning to code but right now, these things just make sense and they make me happy. Being happy at this point of my life is most important.
Do you have routines that you do each day that just make sense? Let me know in the comments.
