Hi friends!
What a fun week! The holidays are in full swing and lots of Christmas fun!
I did a fun recap of all the Christmas fun I had last weekend, you can read that
here.
I don’t have any physical favorites this week but I did have a lot of life favorites this week so I am going to share those!
This week started slow which as very nice. I got lots done at work- why is it all the deadlines and new changes happen at the end of the year?!
Tuesday morning I was up bright and early to pick up almost 5 dozen donuts. They smelled sooooo good and it was so tempting not to eat them driving back home!
I put labels on a few dozen and then packaged the others up. I organized them and then I was off to work to deliver them. Everyone really loved getting donuts for a gift. Who wouldn’t right?!
Tuesday evening I went out for a Christmas dinner with some coworkers. It was nice to eat, drink and chat with them outside of work. The food was really yummy and the restaurant had a really nice atmosphere. This was our first time out since before the pandemic.
On Wednesday, work busy and I ended up getting a lot done.
Chase Rice announced earlier this week that he was going on a headlining tour. I couldn’t contain my excitement! I have been listening to him since 2012 and I was very recently talking about how I would love to see him in concert! Well the universe heard my request and he is stopping at the Starland Ballroom in April. You bet I bought tickets this week for this show! I can’t wait!
Wednesday happened to also be one of the coldest days so far this month! After work, all bundled up I headed to Kohls to do some Amazon returns. Well between my coat and scarf, the sheer volume of people on the store, the store not being the one I usually go to, the heat pumping through the building and not able to pull up the return codes, I got really flustered. Like to the point of sweating profusely and getting very nervous. I ended up putting all my packages back in the bag and stepping away to gather myself.
That was the first time in a long time that had happened, and I was really surprised by it. I was also very proud of myself for being able to take a beat, pull myself out of the situation and breathe for a couple of moments and re-enter myself. After doing that, I was able to find the codes and I hopped back on line to make my returns. It all ended up working out in the end.
The first thing I did when I got back to my car was to take my jacket off. I had more errands to run and I was not going to be sweating in each store. The next few stores were much easier and quieter. Yay for small victories.
I was dressed in “Christmas pj’s ” for a cocoa and movie night at Gravity Vault. I wore black jogger sweatpants, a Christmas tee- You Serious Clark?, a red sweater and my sneakers. I didn’t realize that the movie was going to be shown IN the climbing area and you could still climb and watch the movie. HA! I must have looked like a little kid, sitting almost in the front row, eating cheez-its and watching ELF with such intensity. YAY for Gravity Vault for putting on such a fun community event. I can’t wait to attend more.

Thursday was another busy and wacky day. I had a few meetings spread out over 5 hours and then my dentist calls me to reschedule again my appointment for tomorrow, later in the day. I agreed and realized I needed to get stuff done before leaving for the day. Whew! It felt like a whirlwind of a day. The dentist was surprisingly painless and one more trip next week and I will be a proud owner of a new crown. It’s not the type of crown I really wanted (Think Mia Thermopolis) but it will do for now. LOL
One thing I have been really loving lately is Word Search puzzle books. When I went on vacation back in November, I took one with me for the plane and I had no idea that I would be enjoying them so much! I went through one book already and I currently have two I am working on- one at home and one at work. An added benefit that I didn’t realize until the dental hygienist pointed out to me yesterday was that its nice to see someone not glued to their phone. I didn’t realize it but I am spending slightly less time on my phone because of these puzzle books. Doing these puzzle books also is allowing me to go through my marker collection and throw out old, dried up markers. HA! I find my puzzle books at the Dollar Tree!
This weekend, I have an oil change (Eleanor is NOT looking forward to that AT ALL), wrapping Christmas gifts, organizing the mess I have currently that is surrounding me and working on blog posts.

Wishing you a fantastic weekend full of holiday fun and lots of joy!

PS! I was on Instagram and came across this Reel from @dreamy_Moons and it was words scrolling fast on the screen. You were to close your eyes and take three screenshots and those three words are what 2023 are to bring for you. So naturally I tried it and the words I got were ….. interesting. Two of them I really liked, the third one, I was kinda confused by. My words were STRENGTH, ABUNDANCE, and RELATIONSHIP. If you try this, let me know!
That Insta reel is kinda neat. I got WELLNESS, IDEAS and GROWTH. Also, I wanted to let you know, I love your Christmas tee. Have a great weekend!
