Friday’s Joy

I’m linking up with Erika and Andrea today for Friday’s Favorites. I can’t wait to read your posts!

This meme made me laugh this week so hard!

Week in review

The weekend was nice, lots of relaxing and I got to tidy up and get things ready for the week. Daddy picked up the “Donut of the Month” at the Waretown bakery for us. It was a vanilla donut with green icing and lucky charms marshmellows on top! Keith and I went to church on Sunday and then we induldged on the donuts and they were SO SO good!
What a (work) week!
Monday wasn’t that bad- Eleanor had to go get an oil change, inspection and a once over. Everything looked great and she passed inspection with flying colors!
Tuesday I was all sorts of confused. To the point, I forgot I put my phone in my desk and then panicked when I couldn’t find it then running to my car to try to retrace my steps and then my fitbit couldn’t locate it. I also thought tomorrow (Wednesday) was actually Friday. By Thursday, I just wanted the week to end. It was a wacky week. After talking to my co-workers, they all had similar experiences too! Maybe its because of the full moon?
I made some headway with the bank and moving forward with my accounts this week and on Wednesday I literally squealed with delightment because it seemed everything worked out great. That was short lived and by Thursday another problem arose…. argh. Ha.
I know wacky weeks like these don’t happen often but at the end of the day, you have to be able to laugh at the wackiness and say, I will try again next week!

Looking forward

This weekend, I’m heading to top golf with Keith on Saturday and I’m super excited! I’m also excited not to look at these bank accounts I’ve been pouring over all week. I am going to work on some blog posts this weekend and get ready for the upcoming week.
What I am NOT looking forward to is daylight savings. I’ve had this weird irrational fear of it since I was a kid. I always thought I was going to be late for school the next day. As an adult, I just don’t understand it. Arizona doesn’t do it, why do we?
Keith is heading out on a work trip and guess who his travel companion is…. PENELOPE! She is beyond excited to travel again and she even has a super secret document to go with him!
I’m also thinking about the upcoming holidays and races along with summer. (Guess who already put in her time off for the summer?! )

  1. I just booked another mini-summer vacation yesterday and I can not wait. I do hate the next few days after we change clocks (ahead or back– doesn't matter) since it really throws me off and we have been very late & very early to some events in the past because of it. I'm so glad most of our clocks change automatically now and I rarely have to go around and actually change them all as that helps– A LOT!
